Cadets will be involved in core content instruction as well as a wide range of career experiences in the area of First Responders, taking courses in Public Safety with tracks in the areas of Fire, Police and EMS.
DAPSS is an option for students and families interested in using education to prepare them for a better future!
The mission of the Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security Charter School is to provide an optimum setting for all cadets to graduate from high school and be prepared to succeed as they enter college or a career track.
Our Goals
The goals in achieving DAPSS’ mission will be as follows:
- Graduate from high school in a standard academic program that will allow for post secondary education.
- Develop relationships and have hand-on experiences with professionals in the public safety and security industry that will enhance career awareness and preparedness.
- Become successful applicants for jobs in the public safety and security industry.
- Develop the personal fitness and heath discipline that will ensure a lifetime of health and competency in any career.
- Learn one conversational foreign language.
- Learn, practice and display leadership skills required to be a success and be a positive contributor in their selected career or educational endeavors.
