The buzz about our school, our vision and our future has been drawing some great interest.
Our school was present at the recent University of Delaware Teacher Job Fair, where we interviewed many strong candidates to join our staff. The high quality of teaching candidates will be a great help as we look to start our school with outstanding teachers to work with our cadets!
Currently our incoming freshman class represents over 40 “sending” schools, ensuring our first class will come from many diverse school backgrounds. As the first “cadet summit” (date will be announced shortly) is planned, we have reached out the to the University of Delaware’s Orientation Department to assist us in designing an event that will help capitalize on this diversity and make for a smoother cadet transition—watch for more information soon!
Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you have questions. Remember, we have only a few slots left…tell your friends to enroll today!

Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security Finds A Home!!
The Delaware approved charter high school, Delaware Academy of Public
Safety and Security (DAPSS) has entered formal agreement to be located
at 179 Stanton Christiana Rd, Newark De. The school will be located
adjacent to the Faith City Church (though not affiliated). School
founders anticipate that the central location, near the Christina Mall,
will enhance success and appeal of this charter high school.
Newly named, Head of School, Charles Hughes says, “The DAPSS vision is to develop cadets capable of being leaders in the “first responders” career field. For some graduates this vision will lead to a two or four year college program and for others it will open entry into the career field following graduation.”
Families interested in learning more about DAPSS or how to enroll a 9th grade cadet for the 2011-12 school years should email inquiries to dapssinfo@gmail.com
